How can you help

Would you like to support the work we do?

We are a Registered Charity, No 110 5937 and we do not charge our clients for the advice we provide. We are grateful for any support you can provide to us.

If you would like to donate to us, please make your cheque payable for 'Newcastle Law Centre'.

You can also donate via text message by texting 'NLAW11£insert your amount here' to 70070. For example to donate £10 send text message 'NLAW11£10' to 70070.

The work of a Law Centre; defending the rights of the most vulnerable in society, is never meant to be easy and it is never going to be.

We already know that the EHRC national grants scheme will not be renewed in 2011/2 and we are actively seeking all possible other funding to enable us to continue and grow our services to meet the growing need there is in Newcastle.  At the same time, publicly funded Legal Aid faces its greatest challenge yet due to the proposed changes to Legal Aid. Newcastle Law Centre adamantly opposes those changes because they will impact on many people and will affect, for the worse, access to justice for the most vulnerable people in the society.

We are part of the national campaign Justice for All. You should sign up too!

Help

Would you like volunteer for us?

We gratefully acknowledge the help of our volunteers each year we take a small number or volunteers to help us to deliver our services.

If you are interested in volunteering at the Law Centre, please complete our volunteering application form and either bring the completed form to offices or send it to Julie Maxwell either at our office address or via e-mail: juliemaxwell@newcastlelawcentre.co.uk

As a small organisation, unfortunately we are not always able to take on all people that approach us. Hoewever, we keep all the application forms and contact new volunteers as and when we identify new projects that they can help us with. Our volunteers conduct administrative duties, assist caseworkers and campaign for us.
