About Us
"Our model of legal support makes us stand out from the rest - we care about our clients’ situations and will help them as much as we can, through our free or affordable services."
Our Services
"One of the greatest challenges to accessing specialist legal advice is that people don’t always recognise that their problem has a legal resolution. Providing people with specialist legal advice quickly so that we can support them to resolve their problem remains a priority for us."
Support Us
"Without your support, we simply won’t be able to provide the range of free and affordable services that we do to the local community, you, your family and friends."

Employment Law Advice

North East Law Centre now offering employment law advice

NELC recommenced employment law advice provision in August 2017 due to increasing demand following the Supreme Court ruling concluding that tribunal fees at the time were inconsistent with access to justice.  Following that judgement, we have been receiving 4-5 daily direct enquiries and referrals from trusted partners requesting support.

Due to capacity issues, we were only able to support a handful of clients initially, because our employment law service is currently provided by a volunteer barrister (non-practising), supported by two volunteers.

We have now been awarded a grant by the Access to Justice Foundation to enable us increase our capacity to support more people.

Please contact our main line if you require support with employment advice.
